She’s sexy and subversive. She’s provocative and politically active. She’s a 6-foot-tall, glamorous Amazon who’s built like a brick sh*thouse. She is Canada’s Premier Transsexual Fetish Lady. And she endorses Ankher Bra Corsets.
” I love a good corset, but finding one that fits my torso is not easy. I’m a transsexual woman, and as such have a build with subtle differences from those of the XY chromosomes.
I’m long in my torso, with a larger rib cage, and when I’m not suffering from my hiatal hernia exacerbated IBS (I’m working hard at fixing that), I can have a dramatically smaller waist. This is sizing that won’t be found in much of the population, and makes for some serious challenges when shopping for the right waist shapers.
There are three things I look for in a corset: fit, design, and quality. When Stacy approached me to make me a corset, naturally, those aspects were at the top of my mind. She expressed some concern about my gut health and the effect of wearing a waist shaper, which oddly comforted me. After some reassuring words on both sides, we set up an appointment.
She provided me with several samples during my consultation. These samples are gorgeous! One was very close to the measurements I provided to her through email. Before trying it on, she told me it was going to most likely be a bit small, which it was through the centre back, but everywhere else… it fit like a glove! She decided to add more to the centre back for a perfect fit on the new construction. I decided on a black, pure cotton coutil with black laces, and off she went. Not long after, she was back in my presence with a newly crafted corset ready to be tried on.
The corset fit perfectly, is beautifully pieced together, and is of a simple, yet elegant design I can wear it underneath my many pencil dresses, or as outerwear over a blouse or silk chemise.
The finish is clean and smooth. The top edge sits perfectly over my ribs, and provides perfect hourglass shaping when pulled in snug at the waist to the lower hip edge. It’s easy to put on, easy to take off, and very comfortable. The strong twill tape at the waist lies flat under the bone casing, so there’s no bulk or bunching like I’ve found on other corsets. It’s not a longline corset, but it is long enough to give me the shaping I desire, and the freedom of movement that I cannot get from a longline. I like that…a lot!
Will I be getting more? You betcha, and when Stacy shows me more styles, designs, and fabrics, I’ll be spending much more! I highly recommend her custom corsets to the special clientele she caters to – folks like me. We are not all created equal, and she has a firm grasp on that fact! ”
